Magento B2B

Magento 2 is your perfect choice for a clean and reliable B2B platform.

We’re pleased to say that we specialise in this market, aligning ourselves with business critical B2B requirements and providing solutions for these.

We’ve worked with a number of B2B sites, and have facilitated a number of custom features and integrations. Examples of the some of the recent B2B work we’ve completed includes:

SAP Business One Integration

A custom integration that allows SAP to communicate to Magento using the included API and additional API endpoints that we included for other custom functionality. The integration was built to provide customers with a clean interface that would bolster conversation rates and allow the client to develop new features and marketing strategies, whilst maining the common interface of SAP for all of the employees of the company. This resulted in reduced errors, limited training, and a reduction on time needed to manage two systems and maintain parity between them.

The integration consisted loosely of three areas:

  • Management of entire catalog within SAP
  • Sending online order back to SAP
  • Management of customers and contacts with SAP

Microsoft Navision Integration

A hugely popular ERP system, we’ve integrated with a number of Navision setups, including the ability to upload product data, and routinely download orders for fast processing.

Customer Specific Catalog Pricing

Whist Magento provides customer group specific pricing, this is really intended with a limited number of bands. Common practice among many B2B outlets is the use of different prices and/or price lists on a per customer basis.

We recently completed an integration allowing this functionality to be available within Magento, and synced from the clients ERP system using an additional API.

Customer Sub-logins

Again, quite common for B2B setups, is the facility to group users together by their company. This is especially useful for allowing different tiers of privileges to be shared across users. For example, within one company, there could be two levels, with the lower level of user requiring the upper level user to verify their order before it’s processed.

It also allows for sharing of data across accounts, such as delivery addresses, where some users may have restrictions on which address they can see.

Acquisition Lists

B2B customer work very differently to B2C customers, and they have very different buying habits too. This feature that we’ve developed allows customers to create their own unlimited shopping lists that they can use to quickly re-order / add products to the bag over and over. For example, a cleaning contractor may create a list for “Kitchen Supplies” that contains a list of products suitable for use within a Kitchen, and another list for “Car Washing Supplies”. The aim is to allow for faster checkout and a reason your customer will return to your site over your competitors.

Punch-Out

A little confusing based on its name, but “Punch-Out” is a more common name for e-procurement and quite standard for larger B2B companies. We’ve developed an integration using the industry standard cXML for communication. The process loosely involves:

  • Customer searches their internal system to find a supplier
  • Customer is automatically logged in to the website to make an order
  • Order is placed and details sent back to the supplier for authorisation
  • Purchase Order is passed back to the website so that order can be completed
