Our Process
Building a Magento store requires detailed and thought out plans to ensure that the end product delivers everything our clients want. Often, we’ll start by looking at the end product and documenting what’s required to reach that goal. Each project is different, but we tend to follow this process to facilitate a smooth project:
Consultation
Understanding the requirements of the project and documenting them is the akin to building good foundations for a house. Get this bit wrong, and your site will inevitably have problems.
We start by taking any information you have on what you’re looking for (often in the form of an RFQ) and building a specification from this. Following on from that, we’ll perform a review of your current site and it’s analytics to be sure we have the full picture of your sites existing position.
Design
We take the information gathered during the consultation phase and design a site that meets your requirements and delivers the features that your customers will be looking for.
Our focus is on producing a site that will convert well in your particular sector so at this stage we use all our eCommerce expertise to design a site that looks perfect and only contains features that are going to work for you.
Develop
Development is managed in one week sprints and we provide access to the staging environment to enable you to review and track progress as we build.
Front and back end elements are built in parallel and we will often have 2 or 3 streams of work taking place at one time to speed the process along.
Test
Testing takes place throughout the development process, we continuously run browser / device testing as well as automated code testing.
Nevertheless, a new site will require testing at the closing stages of the development to highlight any issues that may have been overlooked and to test integrations that it may not have been possible to test at an earlier stage.
Delivery
When the testing phase is complete your new site is ready to launch. We provide a one month warranty period where our team is on hand to deal with any unforeseen snags or bugs on your new Magento 2 site.
During the delivery phase we will introduce you to our ongoing Support and Maintenance service to make that transition seamless should you choose to use that service to look after the new site in future.
