Winfields are one of the leading retailers of outdoor equipment, selling a wide range of camping gear, waterproof clothing and footwear.
Established in 1971 and selling through 8 stores nationwide, they had been successfully trading on a Magento 1 site for several years.
With the end of life for Magento 1 approaching, in 2018 they decided the time was right to make the switch Magento 2.
Interjar had already been working with Winfields to maintain and improve their Magento 1 site so with our in depth knowledge of the brand and excellent working relationship with the team at Winfields, it was the natural step for us to partner on the Magento 2 build as well.
The development of the new site presented the opportunity to give the front end a complete redesign to focus particularly on the mobile experience. Magento 2 also enabled us to add some great new features to the site, the project included:

The site was developed over 4 months and launched in February 2019, the impact was instant with soaring sales and AOV on the up.
